Trim removal is a key priority in cutting cost and reducing waste for printing companies and cardboard and carton manufacturers. With modern high speed printing, the amount of waste that can be produced without proper care can be quite excessive.
A solution for a company in this industry is Air Conveyor. The STREAMTEK Air Conveyor has no moving parts, making it virtually maintenance free and can convey bulk material at high rates and long distances. (For more specifications on Air Consumption and Vacuum click here). With Air Conveyors, you can easily control material flow by utilizing a Pressure Regulator.
STREAMTEK manufactures Air Conveyors available in both Aluminum or High Temperature Stainless Steel. The installation is easy, simply clamp a standard hose on both sides of the Air Conveyor and you have a fully functional high energy conveying system.
We offer six (6) different Air Conveyor Sizes: 1″, 1-1/4″, 1-1/2″, 2″, 2-1/2″, and 3″. Any size above the ones we offer generally do not provide high performance as the vacuum ability drops significantly in larger sizes. However if your application requires a larger size, feel free to contact us and we will provide it for you.
If you have the same or similar problems with waste on your production line, an Air Conveyor could be the right choice for you. If you would like to order one our Air Conveyors or Call Us toll free +1-888-218-6548 (Outside of

It’s true, dollar per dollar, cubic foot per cubic foot, compressed air is very expensive. What’s equally true though is that compressed air is found in over 99% of manufacturing plants, while approximately 70% of all manufacturers have a compressed air system in place. These systems power a variety of equipment, including machine tools, material handling, separation equipment and spray painting equipment.
Why is Compressed Air used by so many Manufactures? Well, compressed air can typically do the job better than any other method. The trick is to keep your compressed air supply as efficient as possible, but at the same time keeping the air usage as frugal as possible.
About eight horsepower of electricity is used to generate one horsepower of compressed air. Calculating the cost of compressed air can help you justify improvements for energy efficiency. Need help? Contact a STREAMTEK Application Engineer today!
Over the life of a compressor, energy costs will be five to 10 times the compressor’s purchase cost. Energy savings (optimally use Compressed Air) can rapidly recover the extra capital required to purchase an energy-efficient air compressor.
To find the annual cost of electricity used to power a compressed air system, calculate the cost for running the system under loaded and unloaded conditions.
When it comes to STREAMTEK, we manufacture high quality low cost products which don’t use electricity but produce a high output airflow using a minimal amount of compressed air. For example our Air Amplifiers will create output flows up to 25 times their consumption rate and our Air Knives Air consumption is just ~2.9 SCFM per inch at 80 PSIG with a 40:1 air amplification ratio for the Advanced Air Knife. If your company looking for products which are both energy efficient and provide a high output airflow for conveying, drying, cleaning your materials/products; STREAMTEK is here to help!
The Air Conveyor is a conveying solution that uses compressed air to create an in-line vacuum system through an enclosed tubular passage. This system transports materials such as granular bulk solids, screws, bolts, nuts, ball bearings, empty bottles, and many other materials and objects.
Air conveyors can handle a wide variety of materials such as sugar, flour, tobacco slice, seeds, grains, coffee, fly ash, bottles, screws, minerals and so much more.
Easy to install and compact in size. Capable of vertical lift, horizontal transferring, incline/decline conveying, etc. The conveying route can be customized to your application.
High conveying speeds to meet the demands of bottling machines.
Minimal damage to the conveyed subject (ie. plastic bottles)
Instant ON/OFF with no moving parts, no electricity or explosion hazard, maintenance free operation with capacity and flow controlled by a pressure regulator.
Air Conveyors are easy to use and setup: Simply clamp a standard hose/tube to each end of the Air Conveyor to create the high airflow conveying system
Longer life in harsh environments
As you can see from the list above Air Conveyors have many advantages. If your production lines use old/expensive ways to transport materials from one place to another you should consider the STREAMTEK Air Conveyor. With our unmatched 6 year warranty against failure and a 30 day money back guarantee, you can’t go wrong. Call us today +1-888-218-6548.
Customer (Edison) wants to convey Corn Seed. The problem is simple, Edison doesn’t want to manually carry his 14+ bushels of Corn Seed.
Looking for a solution to the backbreaking lifting of bushels, Edison turned to STREAMTEK for assistance. We recommended installing a 1-1/4″ Air Conveyor model # SV114TS. Only a nominal amount of compressed air is used to convey Edison’s Corn Seed.

Philip has a full fledged CNC Machine Shop in Denver, Colorado. Each week his shop generates 10-15 drums of aluminum shavings/chips; not the long ‘stringy’ type. These shavings/chips are constantly being hand bombed into a main holding container in the back of the shop.
Using the STREAMTEK 2-1/2″ Threaded Stainless Steel Air Conveyor, Philip was able to construct a conveying system using standard 2.5″ Metal Pipe which incorporated a 15′ vertical lift & 35′ horizontal that went back to the holding container. As the shavings left the CNC/Late, the shavings were funneled into the Air Conveying system.
Philip made certain to install a STREAMTEK Auto Drain Filter Separator to ensure the Air Conveyor received a clean dry source of compressed air. The Filter Separator will stop contaminates from entering the air conveyor and gradually clogging it up, resulting in poor performance.
Another customer satisfied with a STREAMTEK “built to last” product.
A customer from the UK contacted us today with a relativity simple application requirement. He (Ralph) needed something that could convey small desiccant beads from small plastic containers to a central storage bin 45ft away (10′ vertical / 35′ horizontal). Ralph wanted a system that would enable him to attach a 10ft flexible tube (vertical) so that his workers could easily grab the flexible tube, activate the vacuum, suck the beads out of the containers, and turn the system back off.
